The former CM of Karnataka and trouper Congress Leader, SM Krishna has announced his joining of BJP to be scheduled for March 22. Party sources of BJP stated that Krishna will be instated to the saffron party in the company of the party’s national president, Amit Shah and other veteran leaders of Karnataka, including Ananth Kumar and R.Ashok. Furthermore, the venue will be in Delhi.
SM Krishna, aged 84, had quit the Congress approximately seven weeks earlier, on January 29. The reason? Well, he had stated that the Congress had become too much confused in its dealings with national leaders. However, being a veteran in the world of politics, Krishna moved on to better prospects. It is worth mentioning that he held a number of offices prior to his joining, including but not limited to: Chief Minister of Karnataka (1999-2004), External Affairs Minister (2012) and the Governor of the state of Maharashtra. Smart move? Looks like we are about to find out. For updates, stay tuned in to FactsFry.
